Funtime FESTIVAL - back to the roots

That's right, we're taking it back to where it all started: the fine and cosy Sojo club in Leuven. A club that stands for blood, sweat and good old independent music, where we've been hosting shows for about 22 years now and where the first ever edition of funtime fest was held in 1998. So, in these hard times for rock'n roll, we're seeking the comfort of this fine club to present you a fine selection of what's happening in the Belgian scene of loud guitars.

Antwerps finest is back with a vengeance, a brandnew album and a set of camino motorcycles. These belgian kings of all things brutal in the world of sludge and postmetal are ready to blast through a set of new fire and old flames...

FIRE DOWN BELOW
From Ghent and with a smoking dedication, Fire Down Below offers a great set of anthemic stonersongs and loud guitars. We're happy they are coming over to Leuven to make it happen...

VALLEY
Intense, emotional, melancholic, energetic, passionate...there's a whole bunch of words one can use to describe Valley, but still... Valley brings a splendid mix of post hardcore, emocore and indie and they do it with an honesty and dedication seldom seen these days. A new album from these boys from Halle is on the way...

ROTZAK
Hailing from Diest and blessed with an insulting bandname...what more can one ask for. Raging, intensily rocking and fierce rawk'nchaoscore with a melodic twist. Their live shows are intense, all out rocking and stimulate to go total ape... A new album is on the way, so expect a good mix of new material and old(er) songs.

ONIONFUZZ
This Leuven bases band was founded a couple of years ago by four youngsters. they play a fusion of indie, postmetal and stoner with some jazz influences. mostly instrumental.

BADGER
Raw and intense hardcorepunk out of leuven. they just recorded and released a new ep, so expect a whole batch of new songs.
